What We Are About
The Summer Opportunities Fair, hosted by Westridge School, is a community service event that provides a venue for parents and children to learn about summer programs. The fair presents a wide range of local, national, international camp opportunities and summer study opportunities for boys and girls of all ages in academic and cultural enrichment, outdoor adventure, sports, travel, day and board situations, community service and volunteer programs, and programs for children with special needs.

The fair, held on the Westridge campus, has earned the reputation as one of the premier camp fairs in the nation. A nationally recognized community service event, the fair attracts thousands of families each year.

First offered to the community in 1991, the fair draws visitors from Pasadena, the Greater Los Angeles area, and the San Fernando Valley. This informative community service event is free to the public and offers something for every student and every family budget.

The camps and programs represented at the fair are independent organizations that are not affiliated with Westridge School. No endorsement by Westridge School concerning exhibitor offerings is expressed or implied.

Special Needs Opportunities
A unique feature of the Summer Opportunities Fair is the in-depth attention to Special Needs programs. The Special Needs booth, located prominently at the fair, offers many resources to parents who seek to enrich the lives of their children.

Pediatricians and other who specialize in treating and working with special needs children and their families are available to speak with parents, free of charge.

The Summer Opportunities Fair Special Needs Catalog, developed, researched, and updated annually, is a collaboration among parent volunteers, Westridge students, and faculty. The catalog provides comprehensive information on agencies and programs designed to assist special needs children and their families.
